Soft Keys: On-Screen Nav Bar ("the app") is developed by FightTech. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Accessibility API
Soft Keys uses the Android AccessibilityService API. Before you turn the service on, the app explains what it does and asks for your agreement.
- It performs the one navigation action you tap on its keys: Back, Home, Recents, notifications, quick settings, power menu, lock screen or screenshot.
- It draws the key bar or floating ball on top of other apps.
- It does not read, record or collect what is on your screen.
- It does not see or store what you type, including passwords.
- It never taps, swipes or acts in other apps on its own.
- No data is collected through the Accessibility API.
- The service is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings.
Permissions
The app asks only for what its features need:
- Notifications (Android 13+) — only for the show and hide controls. You can say no; the keys still work.
- Vibrate — for a short tick when a key fires. You can switch it off.
- Photos (optional) — only if you turn on "Hide after any screenshot" (Storage permission on Android 12 and older). The app checks the name, folder and time of the newest image to notice a new screenshot, then hides the keys for a few seconds. It never opens, copies, uploads or stores your pictures.
- Internet — for ads, purchases, and anonymous usage counts and crash reports. No screen content is ever sent.
Data stored on your device
Your choice of keys, their order, style, size, position and your settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
Analytics and crash reporting
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand aggregate usage (for example which screens and features are used) and to fix crashes. These services collect device information such as model, OS version, coarse app-usage events and crash stack traces. This data does not include your screen content, what you type or which apps you use, and is processed under Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The free version of the app may show ads served by Google AdMob and Unity Ads. To request and measure an ad, these networks receive your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information (model, OS version, country, language). This is declared on the app's Google Play Data safety page. Their handling of that data is governed by Google's advertising policies and the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and your choice is respected on every later launch.
Removing ads: buying any Premium plan (monthly, yearly or lifetime) turns ads off completely. Purchases are processed by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
What we do not do
- No account, no sign-up, no personal profile.
- We never sell your personal data, and we never send your screen content, what you type or which apps you use anywhere.
- Apart from the advertising and analytics identifiers described above, no data is shared with third parties.
Children
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13.
